My name is Clayton Sinclair, and I am the writer and composer of what may be the world’s first mindful musical, aiming to make a difference in the children’s mental health space.

 

Inspired by the best-selling book, The Power of Now, this musical is about a young girl, who on her 11th birthday makes a wish to undo the curse that has ruined her world and left her an orphan. But when her wish gets caught on an ugly thought, she is swept away to a strange dark realm where she learns that to escape the darkness, she must take a road less travelled to a special place called NearAway.™

 

With its powerful simplicity-a Wizard of Oz type fable for our time – this unique telling will delight everyone with its thrilling roller coaster adventure ride, catchy tunes and zany characters.

 

But more importantly this new genre design naturally introduces practical mindfulness tools along the hero’s journey to give the audience of all ages the real experience of how it feels to find peace of mind in a troubled world.
